Probably long before he popped the question you had started day dreaming about your look. Among all the beautiful looks you have pulled off, the one for your wedding has got to be the best. Undoubtedly you want to knock his socks off when he first sees you in the bride’s attire and take a mental snap of his jaw dropped facial expression. Well, you can take inspiration from our very own Bollywood and television celebrities.

Five of the best celeb inspired wedding looks have been decoded just for you.

Kareena Kapoor

Despite being the style icon of India, Kareena chose to wear her mother-in-law’s Gharara for exchanging vows on her wedding day. The old and worn Gharara was refurbished by designer Ritu Kumar. For the post wedding party she changed into a burgundy lahenga and maroon dupatta, designed by her favorite designer Manish Malhotra. Both the wedding dresses were paired with kundan and gold jewelry.

Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai wore a traditional bright golden yellow colored Kanjeevaram sari designed by Neeta Lulla for her wedding day. Her kanjeevaram had intricate Swarovski and gold thread work.  She had paired the sari with heavy 22k gold, polki jewelry but the show stealer was her gold and emerald armband or bajuband. Her hair was tied in a long braid, adorned with flowers and gold ornaments.

Dia Mirza

The classy and sophisticated Dia Mirza opted for a beige and emerald Sharara for her wedding ceremony which was held in Hyderabad. For adornment she wore a lovely jhoomar and seven layered emerald haar. Her barely there makeup complimented the sophisticated wedding attire brilliantly.

Drashti Dhami

The popular TV star, Drashti Dhami wore a gorgeous maroon lahenga for her wedding day and paired it with chunky pearls and diamond polki jewelry. The small bindi, red lips, big Mangtika and moti nath enhanced her beauty many times. She wore the same maroon lahenga for her post wedding party but changed her hairstyle. She kept her hair side swept and adorned it with some red roses. If you are planning to scoot off for a honeymoon just after the wedding and have little time for elaborate wedding reception then try what Drashti has done.

Soha Ali Khan

The delicately beautiful Soha Ali Khan wore a Sabyasachi cream-gold lahenga and subtly embellished orange dupatta. She complimented her look with emerald and gold jewelry ornaments and a heavy jhoomar. Soha’s wedding attire proves that you can look glamorous and chic without wearing red or other dark hues on your wedding day.
